The WanderB‑FC by BlueBird Aero Systems is a compact vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) UAV designed for rapid deployment in confined areas such as urban rooftops, forest clearings, and ships. Combining the endurance of a fixed-wing aircraft with VTOL flexibility, it is ideal for covert intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) operations.
Powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, WanderB‑FC provides over 6 hours of flight, enabling extended missions without frequent refueling. This technology allows for long-duration operations while maintaining low acoustic and thermal signatures.
Vertical takeoff and landing allow operations without prepared runways. After vertical ascent, the UAV transitions to efficient fixed-wing flight, combining speed, stability, and energy efficiency. It can return for VTOL landing on confined sites.
