# Thunder B-VTOL – Hybrid Tactical VTOL UAV
The Thunder B-VTOL from Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) is a hybrid unmanned aerial system (UAS) that merges the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a multirotor with the efficient forward flight of a fixed-wing aircraft. This unique design makes it ideal for Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions in complex environments.
Thunder B-VTOL can carry up to 8 kg of high-performance EO/IR payloads and perform fully autonomous missions. Its hybrid design allows it to glide safely in emergencies, while the pusher propeller ensures efficient forward flight. It can operate in maritime environments, severe weather, and unprepared locations, making it suitable for diverse military and defense applications.
