# Turkish Aerospace Industries AKSUNGUR – High-Payload MALE Unmanned Aerial System

The AKSUNGUR by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) is a heavy-payload, medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial system designed for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), electronic warfare, maritime patrol, and strike missions. With twin TEI-PD170 diesel engines and six external hardpoints, it provides exceptional endurance and operational versatility.

1. Airframe, Propulsion & Endurance

• Twin TEI-PD170 turbocharged diesel engines for fuel efficiency and reliability

• Maximum endurance of up to 50 hours with light payload; approx. 12 hours with full 750 kg payload

• Service ceiling up to 40,000 ft for wide-area surveillance

• Maximum takeoff weight (MTOW): 3,300 kg

2. Payload Capacity & Mission Systems

• Payload capacity exceeding 750 kg distributed across six external hardpoints

• Inboard stations: up to 500 kg each

• Midboard stations: up to 300 kg each

• Outboard stations: up to 150 kg each

• Mission payloads include EO/IR, SAR/GMTI, COMINT/ELINT, EW pods, maritime surveillance radars, and sonobuoy dispensers
