SkyGrid Partners with Boeing for AI-Driven Airspace Mapping
DroneFirms
July 12, 2025 (AUSTIN, Texas) – SkyGrid, a leader in intelligent airspace management solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with aerospace giant Boeing to co-develop advanced AI-driven airspace mapping technology. This collaboration aims to revolutionize how drones, air taxis, and next-generation aircraft safely navigate increasingly complex skies.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment in aviation innovation,” said Amir Husain, CEO of SkyGrid. “By combining SkyGrid’s AI and blockchain-based platform with Boeing’s deep aerospace expertise, we’re setting a new standard for automated, real-time airspace coordination.”
The joint initiative will focus on creating a dynamic airspace mapping system capable of real-time traffic prediction, weather integration, deconfliction, and route optimization for autonomous aircraft. Powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, the system will provide continuous updates and adaptive routing to support safe, scalable, and efficient air mobility.
SkyGrid and Boeing will integrate this system into the SkyGrid platform, which already supports unmanned aircraft operations through flight planning, monitoring, and regulatory compliance features. The new enhancements will be critical in enabling:
- Urban air mobility (UAM) and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft
- BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone operations
- Disaster response, package delivery, and infrastructure monitoring
- Autonomous traffic management (UTM) in shared airspace
The partnership also supports global efforts to modernize air traffic management in line with evolving FAA, NASA, and international aviation standards. As the demand for advanced aerial services grows, this collaboration is expected to play a central role in making the skies smarter, safer, and more autonomous.
