Media Relations

September 17, 2025 (Global) – DJI has rolled out Fly app version 1.18.0, officially adding support for its newly launched Mini 5 Pro drone. The update ensures compatibility with remote controllers including the DJI RC‑N3, DJI RC 2, and DJI RC Pro 2, enabling seamless operation and access to all drone features through the Fly app.

“With this update, Mini 5 Pro pilots can fully utilize the drone’s advanced imaging and flight capabilities with supported controllers,” said [DJI Executive Name]. “We are committed to making professional-grade aerial photography accessible and intuitive.”

The Mini 5 Pro, DJI’s latest ultra-portable drone, features a world-first 1-inch CMOS sensor capable of 50MP photos and 4K/60fps HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range. It also supports 4K/120fps slow-motion recording, a 48mm Med-Tele mode, and DJI’s portrait optimization for natural skin tones. The gimbal offers 225° roll rotation and true vertical shooting, allowing social-media-ready footage without cropping.

Safety is enhanced with Nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing, combining forward LiDAR and vision sensors for reliable night flights and return-to-home functionality. With a larger battery, the Mini 5 Pro provides up to 52 minutes of flight time, along with improved ActiveTrack 360° for smoother subject tracking.

Owners of compatible controllers can now pair their Mini 5 Pro via DJI Fly app v1.18.0, enabling firmware updates, flight planning, media transfer, and in-flight settings and safety features right out of the box.
