# The TOGAN from STM Defense is a combat-proven autonomous multi-rotor reconnaissance and surveillance UAV engineered for tactical-level intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions. Designed for single-operator portability and rapid deployment, TOGAN integrates STM’s indigenous flight control, mission planning software, and advanced onboard processing to deliver reliable situational awareness in complex environments.

Key Capabilities

1. Tactical Surveillance and Reconnaissance

TOGAN performs continuous day/night surveillance with electro-optical (EO) and infrared (IR) sensors, enabling long-duration observation, target detection, and classification for frontline units. With up to 30x optical zoom, it can image distant threats with high fidelity.

2. Autonomous Mission Management

The system offers autonomous mission planning and execution, with man-in-the-loop control options, return-to-home, and mission abort capabilities to enhance operational safety and flexibility. It can also perform autonomous mission handover with other TOGAN platforms for uninterrupted surveillance.

3. Portable, Rugged Design

Foldable arms, compact dimensions, and lightweight construction allow a single operator to carry and deploy TOGAN quickly in harsh field conditions. It is compliant with military environmental qualifications like MIL-STD-810G.

4. Advanced Navigation

TOGAN is equipped with STM's KERKES GNSS-independent navigation system, allowing it to operate in environments where satellite signals are denied or jammed using computer vision and onboard maps.

5. Integration and Performance

TOGAN can share real-time target information with other STM platforms, such as KARGU, and can perform take-off and landing from land vehicles. It has a range of up to 10 km and a flight endurance of up to 45 minutes.
