Anritsu MS27101A – Remote RF Spectrum Monitor for Drone Detection
The Anritsu MS27101A is an indoor, high-performance remote spectrum monitor designed for continuous RF surveillance, interference detection, and drone signal monitoring in security-critical environments. Engineered for 24/7 autonomous operation, the system forms a core hardware element within RF-based counter-drone and spectrum management architectures.
Covering a frequency range from 9 kHz to 6 GHz, the MS27101A continuously monitors the spectrum to detect unauthorized transmissions, including drone command, control, telemetry, and video links operating in congested RF environments.
With sweep speeds of up to 24 GHz per second, the system is optimized to capture short-duration, burst, and frequency-hopping signals commonly used by modern unmanned aerial systems. Its low noise floor and high dynamic range ensure reliable detection of low-power UAV emissions.
When deployed as part of a distributed sensor network and integrated with Anritsu Vision™ or AeroShield™ software, the MS27101A enables Time Difference of Arrival geolocation. This capability allows precise localization of drones and their operators using synchronized RF measurements.
The 1U half-rack form factor allows easy rack mounting in control rooms, data centers, or security operations centers. Low power consumption supports scalable multi-node installations.
Managed via Gigabit Ethernet and web-based interfaces, the MS27101A supports remote configuration and monitoring, making it suitable for airports, critical infrastructure, border facilities, and urban counter-UAS deployments worldwide.
