# BAE Systems Longreach70 – Heavy-Fuel, Long-Endurance UAS for Precision ISR and Communications
The Longreach70 by BAE Systems, developed with Sentinel Unmanned, is a heavy-fuel, long-endurance rotary-wing UAS designed for precision targeting, ISR, and communications relay in contested or GPS-denied environments. Compact and transportable in two Peli cases, it allows rapid deployment without specialist equipment.
Powered by a heavy-fuel engine compatible with JP5, JP8, and gasoline, Longreach70 achieves up to 8 hours of flight, enabling sustained operations for reconnaissance and battlefield awareness.
Equipped with a Class IV NATO laser target designator, it supports accurate covert target designation, improving strike precision and reducing risks to ground personnel.
The system can act as a SATCOM-enabled communications node, extending network coverage and facilitating secure, real-time data sharing across operational theaters.
Longreach70 operates reliably in winds up to 60 km/h (gusts 110 km/h) and maintains functionality in RF-contested zones, providing robust mission integrity.
It supports up to 6 kg of modular payloads, including EO/IR sensors, RF sensors, and laser designators, allowing tailored mission configurations.
