The Indago 4 by Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is a compact, man-packable VTOL quadcopter designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions in diverse and contested environments. With a foldable design that fits into a backpack and a quick setup time of approximately two minutes, it’s optimized for rapid deployment and operational flexibility. Its whisper-quiet acoustic signature enhances stealth during flight, and its rugged construction ensures reliable performance under field conditions.
Depending on battery type and payload configuration, Indago 4 achieves 50 to 70 minutes of flight time, enabling sustained aerial oversight during tactical missions.
Supports payloads up to approximately 2.27 kg (5 lb), with three payload interfaces. Daylight options include the ION 30X MK2 with 30× optical zoom, while thermal imaging is provided by the Noctis Dual IR payload for nighttime or covert operations.
Features GPS-denied navigation via Northstar™ software, on-edge computing for AI and machine learning tasks, and an open-system architecture for rapid integration of mission-specific sensors and processing capabilities.
