# Aereo ZFR – VTOL Fixed-Wing Drone for Surveying & Mapping
The ZFR by Aereo is a DGCA type-certified VTOL fixed-wing drone that blends vertical take-off convenience with efficient winged flight. With an endurance of over 60 minutes and lightweight build, it supports large-area coverage and precision aerial mapping operations.
Providing more than 60 minutes of flight time, the ZFR is capable of covering over 400 hectares per mission, with a radio line of sight range exceeding 5 km.
Weighing under 15 kg, it meets the DGCA’s small drone category limits. Its fixed-wing VTOL configuration allows for vertical take-off and landing, eliminating the need for runways.
Equipped with a 24-megapixel APS-C image sensor, the ZFR achieves mapping resolutions of 3 cm or better when operated from altitudes around 120 m. It also includes survey-grade PPK for precise geo-tagging of images.
The drone includes advanced fail-safe features: autonomous return-to-home (including in case of comm link loss), geofencing to restrict flight envelope, emergency return-to-launch, and programmable behavior for power loss events.
Ideal for land surveying, cadastral mapping, infrastructure inspection, agricultural area monitoring, and any use-case requiring high area coverage with precision. It suits both government and private sector operations seeking regulatory compliance and reliable performance.
