DJI Neo 2 Becomes the Most Apple-Friendly Drone Yet
DJI
December 10, 2025 (SHENZHEN, China) – DJI has taken drone convenience to the next level with a new firmware update for the DJI Neo 2, making it the most Apple-friendly drone ever. The update, v01.00.0500, enables full Apple Watch remote control, allowing pilots to steer, track, record, and manage their drone directly from their wrist. The original DJI Neo will also receive Apple Watch compatibility soon, expanding the feature across the Neo lineup.
“With Apple Watch support, Neo 2 pilots can enjoy a hands-free flying experience — perfect for cycling, running, and other on-the-go adventures,” reported Ishveena Singh for DroneDJ.
The Apple Watch integration works with Series 8, 9, 10, 11, Ultra 2, and Ultra 3 models running watchOS 11 or later. Using the DJI Fly app (v1.19.4), users can view live video, monitor battery status, issue voice commands, and even record audio through their watch while the drone captures footage. The firmware also includes new notifications for tracking loss and low battery, plus general stability improvements.
This update positions the DJI Neo 2 as a compact, smart, and highly accessible option for Apple ecosystem users — from travelers and vloggers to outdoor enthusiasts — combining portability, creativity, and seamless wrist-based control.
