DJI to End Support for Select Drones and Payloads Next Month
DJI
December 2, 2025 (SHENZHEN, China) – DJI has announced it will end support for six legacy products on January 30, 2026, including popular Matrice drones and Zenmuse payloads. After this date, users will no longer have access to official technical support, repairs, firmware updates, or customer service for the affected hardware. (dronedj.com)
“As technology evolves, routine lifecycle management requires retiring older products to focus resources on new, more capable hardware,” reported Ishveena Singh for DroneDJ. (dronedj.com)
The affected products include:
- Matrice M200 V2 – Industrial workhorse for inspections, search-and-rescue, and construction monitoring
- Matrice M210 V2 – Supports dual downward gimbals, ideal for mapping and infrastructure inspection
- Matrice M210 RTK V2 – Adds RTK positioning for centimeter-level survey accuracy
- Zenmuse XT – Thermal imaging camera for firefighting, industrial inspections, and solar panel surveys
- Zenmuse XT2 – Combined 4K and thermal imaging payload for versatile public safety operations
- Lightbridge 2 – Early high-definition video transmission system for enterprise drones
DJI recommends enterprise users migrate to newer models or secure necessary repairs and spare parts before the cutoff, as the drones will continue to fly but without official support. This decision marks a significant shift for professionals relying on older Matrice and Zenmuse systems, highlighting the importance of keeping hardware up to date to maintain reliability and operational safety.
