September 3, 2025 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) – Aurelius Defense Technologies, a rising player in counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) innovation, announced today that it has secured $10 million in Series A funding to accelerate the development and deployment of its next-generation laser-based counter-drone system. The funding round was led by Helios Ventures, with participation from SkyShield Capital and several defense-sector investors.

The Aurelius system—known internally as “Lynx-LD” (Laser Defense)—uses high-energy laser beams to detect, track, and neutralize unauthorized drones within seconds. Designed for both military and critical infrastructure protection, the system leverages AI-assisted targeting and adaptive beam control to ensure accuracy while minimizing collateral damage.

Unlike traditional electronic jamming systems, which can interfere with nearby communication networks, the Lynx-LD offers a clean, directed-energy solution that silently disables drone threats without creating signal disruption. The technology is being tested in collaboration with several U.S. defense agencies and energy sector partners.
